Body care treatments

although we should be caring for our skin health all year round, body skincare laziness is extremely common and I myself am guilty of this. As we come into the spring and summer months, many of us start to consider the appearance of our body and the skin that we have often neglected in the winter when wrapping up in all our comfy woolly jumpers.

by the time we start to consider our body skincare routine we have a lot of catching up to do. It is quite common for our skin on our body to be incredibly dry once we reach spring. this is as a consequence of lack of moisture and friction/irritation from our clothes and detergents/ fabric conditioners.

Self confidence as a consequence, is often lacking and this is evident is all genders, ages and cultures.

At the clinic we provide a range of different treatments that can help you feel more confident in your skin and also improve the health of your skin.

The important concerns we aim to target are:

  • dryness, acne and other skin health concerns

  • scarring (traumatic and surgical including Caesarean scars)

  • cellulite

  • stretch marks

  • age related changes such as loss of tone

We use a range of products in order to support your skin health and this includes:

  • skincare routine

  • polynucleotides

  • Profhilo body

These treatments together will help to do a wide range of improvements to your health. Your skincare routine will be designed for you and may include exfoliation and increased long term hydration to the skin as well as targeting specific skin issues such as acne to the upper arms and back.

Polynucleotides help to stimulation cell regeneration by using the purified DNA from trout. This is injected into the areas of concern in order to improve the production of new collagen, cell repair and regeneration and an increase in blood vessel formation to stimulate the renewal of cells. Polynucleotides are particularly useful around scars as they can be quite tight due to the deposit of different forms of collagen and the wound healing process. By using polynucleotides we can stimulate the production of new collagen and also cell repair process. This has been demonstrated to flatten scars and improve the pigment changes often seen.

In order to address loss of elasticity to the skin, tone and stretch marks and cellulite polynucleotides can be useful when in combination with profhilo body. Profhilo uses a specific form of hyaluronic acid that stimulates the bioremodelling process. It works synergistically with polynucleotides as well as on its own to stimulate collagen, tighten and lift areas of loss of elasticity and increase regeneration around stretch marks and cellulite.

The combination of all three of these treatments are absolutely essential and can improve the health of your skin all year round.
